COSTARS of Pennsylvania
COSTARS is the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s cooperative purchasing program and serves as a conduit through which registered and eligible local public procurement units (LPPUs) and state-affiliated entities (together “Members”) are able to leverage contracts established by DGS to cost effectively and efficiently identify suppliers with whom to do business. The goals of this program are:
- To encourage, expand and facilitate the opportunities for Members to achieve procurement savings and best value through an interactive partnership with the Commonwealth.
- To provide increased opportunities for Suppliers of any size to participate and compete for Members’ business.
- To provide contracts with competitive pricing.
GSA Federal Funding
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), established by President Harry S. Truman in 1949, has been delivering the best value in real estate, acquisition and technology services, to the federal government and American people for more than 67 years. The agency’s core mission is to help federal agencies buy smarter, reduce their real estate footprint, provide efficient, cost saving technology and create a better, faster federal government.
This centralized procurement arm for the federal government, GSA offers products, services, and facilities needed by federal agencies for serving the public. In turn, GSA offers businesses the opportunity to sell billions of dollars worth of products and services to those agencies.
